Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth. They are made of metal posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone to support artificial teeth. In some cases, saving a damaged tooth isn't possible. However, dental implants offer a solution that preserves neighboring teeth without the need for a bridge.

What to expect ?

Procedure Duration: Case dependent

The implant process typically takes several months and may involve multiple visits to the dentist.

During the first visit, the dentist will numb the area and then place the implant into the jawbone.

The gums will be stitched closed and you will need to wait for the implant to osseointegrate, or fuse to the bone. This process takes about 2-3 months.

Once the implant is osseointegrated, the dentist will place a healing cap over it.

After a few weeks, the dentist will remove the healing cap and take an impression of your teeth.

The dentist will then send the impression to a dental lab, which will create a custom crown for you.

The final crown will be placed on your next visit. Implant crowns can be screw-retained or cemented, chosen based on your specific case.
